Instructors

	Joshua Ames Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Early Childhood. He currently is a 5th grade teacher at Baggett Elementary in Paulding County. He was recognized as Paulding Teacher of the Month December 2006, Baggett Elementary Teacher of the Year 2006-2007, Paulding Teacher of the Year 2007-2008. He also is a School Base Intervention Team (SBIT) Member 2009.
	Susan Belmonte Susan holds a BA in Latin and Ancient Greek, a Master of Education in Special Education. Also post graduate studies in Classical Art and Archaeology.She was honored as the 2006 Latin Teacher of the year: Georgia Classical Association. Susan Currently teaches Latin at St Pius X Catholic High School where she is also the Faculty Liaison, Academic Mentor and New Teacher Mentor.
	Greg Boughton Greg Boughton holds a BS in Science, a Middle School certification in Mathematics, a Master of Education in Middle grades Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Greg received Marietta City Schools Foundation Teacher Incentive Award. He currently teaches at the Sixth Grade Academy in Marietta. gboughton@georgiaeta.com
	Paul Chaffee Paul Chaffee holds a Bachelor of Science in Education, Masters of Arts in Education with endorsements in Curriculum and Instruction, Leadership, Elementary Education and Special Education. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate. He has been the Third Grade Team Leader at Baggettl Elementary in Paulding County since 2004. 	Helen Colvin Helen Colvin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has served as the District President for the Georgia Art Association and was awarded the 1999 Teacher of the Year for Argyle Elementary. Helen is the Art teacher for Durham Middle School in Cobb County.
	Dr. Mark Crowe Mark Crowe holds a BS in Secondary Education, a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision, and a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Supervision. Dr. Crowe has taught Middle School and has served as an Elementary, Middle, and High School Assistant Principal. 	Brenda Fitzgerald Brenda Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Masters of Education in Early Childhood and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is certified as a Reading Specialist k-12, has a Reading Endorsement and is Orton-Gillingham trained. Brenda is a 1999 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year. 	Betsy Frank Betsy Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, A Master of Education in English and Latin, and an Educational Specialist Degree in English Curriculum and Latin. She also is certified in gifted education and teacher support. She was a Fulbright Fellow at the American Academy of Rome Summer Program. She has taught for thirty-two years at the high school level in public and private schools and in the Governor’s Honors Program. She currently teaches Latin in the Upper School at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School.
	Jeff Gravely Jeff Gravely holds a BA in Secondary Education, a Master of Education in Early Childhood and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 	Teri Harris Teri Harris holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Early Childhood, a TSS and Reading Endorsement and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 	Stacy Haynes Stacy Haynes holds a BS in Speech/Language Pathology, a Master of Education in Speech/ Language Pathology and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 	Brian Jones Brian Jones holds a BS in Middle Grade Education, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision. He presently teaches 6th/7th grade Venture Science at Austin Middle School. He was named West Metro's Coach of the year , 1998, Chapel Hill Middle School Teacher of the month, 1999 and 2005, Chapel Hill Middle School Teacher of the Year 2000-2001
	Esther Jones Esther Jones holds a BS in Early Childhood, a Masters in Early Childhood amd a Ed. S. in Curriculum and Instruction. Presently she teaches Gifted K-5 at Burnt Hickory Elementary. She was named Outstanding Master of Education Student in Early Childhood University of West Georgia 2000.
	Gina King Gina King holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education. Included in her repertoire is an Add-on certificate in Educational Leadership, a Reading Endorsement and a TSS Endorsement. She is a former teacher and School Improvement Specialist. Gina is currently the Principal at Russom Elementary School in Paulding County.
	David Krosner David Krosner has been teaching instrumental music in Fulton County for ten years. During that time, he has taught elementary, middle, and high school band as well as maintained a private percussion studio. An active clinician, adjudicator, composer and arranger, Krosner has served as an endorsee for Toca, Gibraltar, Pro Mark, and recently Innovative Percussion. Krosner is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, Who’s Who among Leaders in Education, Who’s Who in America, the Percussive Arts Society, and Music Educators National Conference. 	Dr. Kelle Laushey Kelle Laushey holds a BS in Education- MR- K-12, a Masters of Education in MiMH and a Doctor of Philosophy- Education of Students with Exceptionalities with a focus on Autism and a cognate in child development. 	Norma Jean McHugh Norma Jean McHugh holds a BA in Education Kindergarten - Eighth Grade with over 25 years experience teaching dyslexic children. She was a Master Teacher at The Schenck School where she taught for 17 years. She is past president of the Georgia Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and was named Outstanding Person of the Year 2007 by the Georgia Branch. She is a Fellow of The Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators
	Claire Pearson Claire Pearson holds a BS in Elementary Education, and a Master of Education in Interrelated. Claire is a member of the International Dyslexia Association, a founding member and a past president of IDA-Georgia Branch and is a member of the Learning Disabilities Association. She is a former teacher and associate director of The Schenck School where she also was recognized as a Master Teacher. She is a Fellow of The Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
	Cari Schall Cari Schall holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and a Masters Degree in School Counseling. Cari speaks publicly on the topic of handling grief.
	Becky Terry holds a BS, a Masters,and an Educational Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently a school improvement specialist for Paulding County. . She has an Educational Leadership add-on, is a Teaching support specialist and has a Reading Endorsement. She was honored as Teacher of the year at Annette Winn Elementary in Douglas County.
	Wendi Hayes Upton Wendi Hayes Upton holds a BS and a Master of Education in Early Childhood. She served as a member on the School Improvement committee, acted as a curriculum coach and developed and administered math assessment for kindergarten. She is a first grade teacher.
